Despite Spill Still Should Drill

The phrase ought to make every “enviro-analist’s” skin crawl. Sarah Palin said “Drill Baby Drill,” and they still haven’t gotten over it. The distinction between environmentalists and shrill to a drill “enviro-analists” both of whom purport to care about the environment can be easily seen in the center of those words, mental versus anal. People who go anal to drilling anywhere are even more responsible for the Gulf Oil Crisis than BP is.

It’s “enviro-analists” who are against drilling on land and shallow costal waters. They have pushed hard to force rigs into deep waters on the misguided notion that the further away from the coast the chance a drill spill causing major kill was next to nil. Well, the last two months has demonstrated that notion is one oar short of the shore, which incidentally describes most “enviro-analists.”

One solution to resolving the energy enigma would be that anyone who declares himself totally against drilling should be willing to have a chip implanted into his or her head. After all, there is plenty of room. The chip would identify these eco-extremists, and when they purchase an oil based commodity like gas, the price charged would immediately be several times the prevailing rate. Isn’t that what these so concerned about Mother Earth individuals want? Ah, but that’s for everybody else.

Still, Obama’s solution is no drilling at all. Remember White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel who said “never waste a crisis.” He also threatened political opponents with dead fish just like the mafia. Ah, but that’s one of his better qualities. The truth is if anyone in “the infamous administration of the previous eight years” had said anything similar, Americans would still be hearing about it today.

Stopping all off shore drilling is actually far worse than allowing the existing wells to continue in operation. This anal decision could be more destructive to the environment, for shutting down a working rig is more dangerous. In fact, the Deep Horizons rig exploded just as it was being shut down.

Unfortunately, this self imposed moratorium only inflicts more harm to Gulf Coast residents already suffering from a bad economy, tourism atrophy, but they could also permanently lose jobs provided by the oil industry.

The shutdown rigs just won’t sit around idly for six months. Since demand is high because the rest of the world drills with reckless abandon especially the Chinese, they will most likely move to the North Sea and West Africa probably preventing the U.S. from resuming drilling for years. And, the most advanced rigs i.e. the safest will go first.

Recently, Obama received a report from eight oil experts advising him on how to deal with offshore drilling safety after the Deepwater Horizon explosion. But, Interior Secretary Ken “Slick” Salazar slipped in two paragraphs supporting Obama’s drilling moratorium. However, the experts cried foul when they discovered this little change.

One expert Ken Arnold explained this misrepresentation to FoxNews, Obama’s favorite news network. They also wrote a letter to Salazar saying his primary recommendation “misrepresents” their position and that halting the drilling is actually a bad idea. All they got was a lousy apology. Slick and slimy to make it seem like experts support his detrimental moratorium by manipulating a report making recommendations after they signed it.

And, Obama won’t even talk to BP’s CEO Tony Hayward because he’s worried that he’ll be told only what he wants to hear. Maybe, Obama would get another million dollars in campaign donations from BP if he did. Seems Obama has a serious a case of projection, i.e. assuming others have his same personality faults, as probably any physiologist has ever seen.

Then there’s the century old Jones Act. This xenophobic law prevents foreign ships and crews from moving between American ports, which would be necessary if participating in the Gulf cleanup. Seventeen nations have offered their oil spill services including the Saudis who cleaned up Saddam’s mess during the Gulf War, but none can until Obama approves a waiver as Bush did after Katrina.

Admiral Thad Allen, the only guy who seems to be in charge, (Salazar admitted in congressional testimony that he wasn’t) said, no one has asked for a waiver. White House spokesman Robert “so glib” Gibbs declared that the situation hasn’t passed a threshold to warrant one. America is suffering the worst oil spill in its history, far worse than the Exxon Valdez, with no end in sight. Didn’t that threshold get passed weeks ago?

Finally, this crisis is no longer simply Obama’s Katrina. It’s Obama’s crime. All his actions indicate that he’s exacerbating the situation to push his extreme green agenda, maybe even to nationalize the oil industry. Undoubtedly, O.B.A.M.A. means change that’s more and more “One Big Awful Mistake for America.”
