The Motley Cabinet

Looks like the children are back in charge. Nowhere else on earth has a band of misfits, failures and outright liars been assembled to take America on a journey to heck and hopefully “we can” eventually get back. Liberals are now in the position they love most, defending a despotic regime ala Bill Clinton II. For what will probably be its general tenor, the Obama administration began unashamedly with the biggest inaugural bash in US history.

Whereas Bush in 2004 spent $42 million and got only criticism from liberals for overspending, Obama’s coronation cost an estimated $156 million, nearly 4 times more. But no inauguration ever fed a hungry child. Instead liberals are calling this waste of taxpayer money economic stimulus. It was supposedly good for us, so shut up and pay your taxes unless you’re Timothy Geithner, but more on him later

Yes, every piece of pork and sow’s ear for that matter is no longer just a handout to a Democrat supporter. Instead it’s sold under the guise of saving the economy. When this bailout bust stuff doesn’t work as is bound to happen, it’d be an excuse to do even more. Every liberal wet dream governmental program from “Absolutely Anal to Outright Zany” will be legislated. And to help Obama is a cast of cabinet christened criminals who are the mostly motley.

First, there’s “Secret Nary for State,“ Hillary Clinton, a.k.a. “Cattle Futures Feline.” One wonders why a woman who can take $1000 and make $100000 in cattle futures would want such a low paying job. Pardon the fact, wait! Did I just use the word “Pardon?” Well, pardon me. Question: How many pardons did her husband give? Answer: it’s doesn’t matter.

Seems that only her husband’s fundraising from Saudi Sheiks (or maybe Shaky Saudis) does. Not enough to garner any real inquiry, we’re talking Democrats in congress who only have polar bear yawns when one of their own goes wild. Just being simply criminal elicits no response since that’s the norm for that party.

During her confirmation hearings, Hillary extolled “Smart Power.” Of course, no specifics were given. They never are. But it’s probably the opposite of Bush’s “Stupid Power,” which if the Obama administration doesn’t manage to screw it up will create the first democratic government in the Arab world.

Still, Hillary will have her work cut out for her. Obama has promised to meet with Iran’s leader without preconditions. For his part, Amadinajad even though he’s a nut job has said he has preconditions for Obama. Proving he has more sense than our new president. But what if one of Amadinajad’s conditions is that Obama wears a burka cause he just wants Obama to be his “B.” Would Hillary “power negotiate” that?

Then there’s “Tax Me Not” Secretary, Timothy Geithner, a.k.a. Honest Mistake Man. Working for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) everyday, everybody has to pay his own self-employment tax, which the IMF reimburses. It’s clearly explained. But although Geithner was audited for 2003 and 2004 for failure to pay (and the IRS waived the penalties), he didn’t correct “mistakes” for 2001 and 2002. Until?

Just after his nomination. The DNC media questioned not his “honest mistake” mantra and then dutifully adds he must be confirmed because “he’s the only one who understands the TARP (Troubled Asset Rescue Program).” If that’s true, he’s really a very disturbed man. Yet, he just can’t understand the simpler aspects of the tax code, which he oversees.

Pete Sepp, vice president of the National Taxpayers Union, said, “We can only hope his public tax ordeal will convince him that the system needs simplification, not just for his sake, but for about 130 million taxpayers.” Don’t count on it, Pete. Democrats do love their draconian tax code.

Then, there’s “A Turn Key” General, Eric Holder, a.k.a. the Fugitive Freer. Lest anyone forget that then-Deputy Attorney General Holder urged Marc Rich’s lawyer to bypass normal Justice Department procedure and get his client a pardon directly from Slick Willy.

It was only right considering that Rich’s wife, a major Democrat donor, certainly paid enough for her husband’s pardon. Interestingly, Rich was a tax fugitive. Maybe, he could recommend a lawyer for Geithner. Nevertheless, all is forgiven because Holder said he’s sorry.

Holder also advocated pardons to 16 Puerto Rican terrorists even though he says national security would be his top priority. And, does he feel any remorse for recommending against an independent investigation into then-Vice President Al Gore’s illegal fundraising? Gore made calls directly from the White House, which violated campaign laws.

Finally, Holder was involved in the Clinton regime’s kidnapping of the Cuban boy, Elian Gonzales. That warm picture of a big gun being stuck into Elian’s face speaks volumes at what’s very likely to keep coming.
